Now, let's dive into the world of bats and Halloween decorations!

Perfect for Endless Creative Projects

Whether you're looking to decorate your door or embark on other fun projects throughout the Halloween season, these bat templates are just what you need. To get started, simply print out the templates. You can find the download links at the bottom of this post.

For the best results, I recommend using white cardstock. It's sturdier and will withstand repeated tracing. After cutting out the cardstock stencil, trace the bat onto black construction paper. If needed, you can use a light-colored pencil, white-colored pencil, or even chalk to make the lines more visible. And if you're feeling adventurous, try tracing the pattern onto black felt for a unique texture.

Two Sizes to Choose From

We have two bat template sizes available: large and small. The large bat template measures 10 inches wide when cut out and fits perfectly on a standard 8.5×11 inch piece of paper or cardstock. If you prefer smaller bats, the small bat template measures 5 inches wide and prints four bats per page.

You're welcome to download as many copies of the templates as you'd like, as long as it's for personal use only. Please refrain from editing or redistributing the files.

DIY Halloween Door Decoration

Looking to add a little spooky touch to your home? Try this simple and fantastic DIY Halloween door decoration! All you need are the bat templates, construction paper, and some masking tape.

Cut out a bunch of construction paper bats using both the large and small templates. Then arrange them on your door using masking tape. Feel free to get creative and set them up in any way you like. The great thing about using masking tape is that it won't damage the paint at all.

But don't stop at the door! You can use these bat templates to decorate your walls, cabinets, or any other area in your home, classroom, or workplace that could use some Halloween spirit.

Alternative Ways to Use the Templates

Apart from door decorations, there are plenty of other exciting ways to utilize these bat templates. Here are a couple of ideas to spark your creativity:

Coloring Pages

If you're hosting a Halloween or fall-themed party, keeping kids entertained is a must. Set up a table with markers, crayons, colored pencils, and the bat templates. Let the kids create their own spooky bats on the coloring pages. It's a fun and engaging activity that will surely keep them busy.

Place Cards

Hosting a Halloween dinner or party? Impress your guests with unique place cards. Use the small bat template to create these special cards. Simply trace the template onto black construction paper and then write your guests' names or the names of dishes being served using a white or light-colored pencil or marker. Place the cards on plates or use decorative place card holders for an added touch.
