How to Make the Printable Halloween Puppets
To bring these adorable puppets to life, you'll need a few supplies:
- Our printable templates (available at the end of this tutorial)
- Paper (heavier print paper is recommended, but regular paper works too)
- Printer
- Scissors
- Glue
- Optional: coloring supplies
For some extra pizzazz, you can also use glitter or gemstones to make your puppets shine!
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Print out our templates. Regular white paper is fine, but you can use colored paper for certain puppets, like orange for the Jack-o-Lantern.
- If you printed the black and white templates, this is the perfect time to unleash your creativity and color them in. Grab your favorite markers and have fun!
- Once you've colored your puppet, it's time to cut it out. Start by making a cut to separate it from the strips but don't trim it just yet.
- You'll notice markings next to the puppet, indicating where you need to make the folds. Follow those dashed lines and create crisp folds by running your finger or a craft stick over them.
- Now, cut out the puppet and any accompanying strips and teeth (if you're making a vampire).
- For the vampire, fold along the dashed lines on the teeth and apply glue to the area marked “glue.” Then, glue the teeth inside the puppet's mouth.
- Cut the straps and glue them onto the puppet in an arched shape.
- And voila! Your Halloween puppet is complete and ready to be played with.
