Kids of all ages will absolutely love this free printable Halloween Tic Tac Toe Game! Whether it is a Halloween party or just for fun, this classic game played with festive pumpkins and candy corn is sure to be a hit.

Hey there! With the official start of fall just a few days away, I have all things Halloween on the brain. Do you decorate your home for Halloween? I do! Both inside and outside of our house ends up accessorized with black, orange, and purple.

Along with the colorful decor, we fill candy jars with Mellocreme Pumpkins and Candy Corn that we will inevitably dump on the day after Halloween. A little bit of the super sweet holiday candy goes a long way for us. Rather than eat the bright orange candies, we prefer to decorate with them OR play with them. More specifically, we like to play Halloween Tic Tac Toe with candy pumpkins and candy corn.

How to Make Tic Tac Toe Halloween Game

Supplies Needed:

  • Candy Corn
  • Mellowcreme Pumpkins
  • Color Printer
  • Card Stock
  • Paper Cutter or Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Staples (I love the color purple, so purple staples it is!)

Party Favor Assembly Instructions:

  1. Download, Print, and Cut: Begin by printing the Halloween Tic Tac Toe game cards then use a paper cutter or scissors to cut out each rectangle party favor.

  2. Insert the Card and Fill the Bag: Next, place one game card into a clear treat bag then add 5 candy corn pieces and 5 candy pumpkins.

  3. Secure the Game Card and Candy Pieces: After the cards and candies have been placed in the bags, there should be a one-inch gap left over at the top of the bag. Fold the gap at the top of the bag in half then staple the bag closed to secure the Halloween Tic Tac Toe game cards and candy pieces in the bag.

Tic Tac Toe Halloween Game Instructions:

The only difference between this sweet version of Tic Tac Toe and the age-old classic is that in the spirit of Halloween, the Xs and Os have been replaced. Rather than the traditional markers, Halloween Tic Tac Toe is played using candy markers.

Tic Tac Toe is a two-player game. The object of the game is to achieve three matching pieces in a row; be it horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.

Separate the two types of game markers then decide which player will go first.

Player 1 will place one of their candies on the board in any one of the nine boxes. Next, Player 2 will place one of their candy pieces in one of the open boxes.

Players alternate placing their pumpkins and candy corn until one player has three in a row. If the players end up filling all nine boxes without three in a row of any one kind, the game ends with no winner and is considered a stalemate.
